CAMP OLYMPIA IS “OUT OF SIGHT” IN 2020!

What is summer 2020 all about? Why did we choose this year’s theme? What are the dates?

Starting in 1989 with “Pure Energy Explosion!”, each summer at Camp Olympia has had been themed.  We do this so each summer is new and exciting, but also is memorable and has a meaning.  For example, in 2018, we chose “Unplugged to Make a Real Connection” because we find importance of putting down electronics and creating personal relationships.  After all, creating real relationships is what camp is all about!  This past summer, our theme “LET’S GO!” won out because we found that the phrase embodied the enthusiasm that is present here at Olympia in how we encourage others around us, make the best of every day we have, and have a blast with friends!

For this summer, the decision has been made! Camp Olympia is “Out of Sight!” in 2020! You might be thinking, but 20/20 is perfect sight, so how is camp going to be “Out of Sight”?  When you look up “out of sight”, you find descriptions like fantastic, marvelous, exceedingly high, and excellent. We want Summer 2020 to be beyond perfect!  With 50+ years of experience in the camping industry, we know what it takes to have an amazing summer.  But how do we make it O-Mazing?  That’s where “Out of Sight!” comes in, and we put our Olympia touch on summer.  We have fun, try new things, make new friends, encourage one another, act like kids, leave electronics at home, dance like no one’s watching, learn responsibility, cheer loudly, and we cry when camp is over.  It’s an experience like no other, and simply put, it’s “Out of Sight!”

*Our SPARK (1 week) sessions are for campers ages 6-9 ONLY*
