About Camp Olympia Counselors
Being a Camp O counselor means providing campers with a positive environment so that they can have fun while growing in body, mind, and spirit. You will learn to lead by example and create lasting memories and lifelong friendships.
What Is It?
Our counselors create the FUN and a POSITIVE environment where campers can GROW. Our counselors live onsite in our air-conditioned cabins with our campers and other counselors where they serve as LEADERS. Counselors will TEACH activities from the over 45 different offerings. We hire counselors for a session or two or stay the whole summer!
Why Camp Olympia is the Best Summer Job
- Fulfilling opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children
- Paid leadership and mentorship experience
- A summer spent outdoors in the beautiful Pineywoods
- Make friends from a dedicated network of college students from across the US and abroad
- Did we say a summer of FUN?!?!
Why Is It Amazing?
What could be more amazing than a summer spent doing watersports, participating in rodeos and talent shows, and chowing down on s’mores? How about doing all of that while also serving as a mentor and meeting other college students from across America and abroad? Yeah, it’s pretty amazing. But around here, we like to call it O-mazing!
Our counselors are the heartbeat of Camp O! They keep our traditions alive and help our memories last. In addition to their enthusiasm, counselors also play a HUGE part in caring for campers and creating an environment for them to GROW. Before our campers arrive, our counselors undergo a week-long training program to learn camp activities and safety procedures. They learn how to teach, how to listen, how to foster growth and positively impact those around them.
You will work with dozens of counselors to make this summer the best one ever!
