At Camp Olympia, campers can choose from over 40 different activities. Prior to arrival at camp, campers rank our activities and based on those rankings, we develop each camper’s individualized schedule of ten, 40 minute daily activities. Each activity is taught by counselors with those specific activity skills.

  • Aerobics / Yoga Aerobics is a great way to continue an exercise schedule or learn new aerobic techniques. While most aerobics classes are in our air-conditioned Top of the O'Dome, some days the class may choose to do water aerobics at the pool.
  • Baseball Baseball is as popular as ever! Olympia's beautiful, new Baseball Park is second to none. Campers can hit a homerun over the huge wall in left field or into Caney Creek in right field! In addition to baseball class, campers enjoy participating in our Homerun Derbies and speed softball games on this field.
  • Basketball Camp Olympia has 2 basketball courts for double the fun! One court is a covered court at the O'Dome, and the second court is a full-size court next to the tennis courts. In addition to basketball activity class, campers enjoy playing basketball during Spartan/Athenian and love participating in a game of "knockout" during breakout.
  • Cheerleading At Camp Olympia, cheerleading is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Campers learn new cheers and practice in our O'Dome. Campers in our cheerleading classes may choose the participate in our Talent Show during the last week of camp.
  • Football Football has a long history at Camp Olympia and is a fun activity for both boys and girls. Olympia's owners, Chris Gilbert and Corby Robertson, Jr., were both All-American football players at the University of Texas. Both Chris and Corby taught football to Olympia campers in camp's initial years. It is not uncommon for one of them to stop by a football class when visiting camp!
  • Frisbee Frisbee is fun for all ages. Campers learn how to properly throw a frisbee and learn the strategies of playing Ultimate Frisbee. Campers also have the opportunity to play on the Frisbee Golf course!
  • Golf Golfers in golf class enjoy the use of the driving range, practice putting greens and par 3 course at beautiful Whispering Pines Golf Club, a nationally acclaimed golf course. Campers will learn from PGA professionals the basics of the game as well as the rules and etiquette of course play.   • Gymnastics Do you like to tumble? Gymnastics at Olympia includes learning basic tumbling as well as polishing more advanced tumbling skills. Gymnastics takes place in the air-conditioned Top of the O'Dome.
  • Jumping Pillow How high can you jump? Our Jumping Pillow is like a blob on land! It is big enough that up to 30 people can jump on it at the same time, so entire cabins can have fun on it together.
  • Lacrosse Pick up your sticks and let's play! Both girls and boys have fun playing lacrosse at Camp Olympia.
  • O-Sports O-Sports class has all of Olympia's favorite games in one O-Mazing class! Games, such as O-O, O-ball, Toppleball, Koob and Spike-O, are played and new techniques and strategies for each are taught. Get ready to have a Ton-O'-Fun!
  • Ping Pong Campers have fun competing with each other at ping pong. It is popular leisure activity for campers of all ages.
  • Soccer He shoots, he scores! Campers of all ages can signup for soccer class. Stay in shape for your home soccer team or learn to play for the first time.
  • Softball Softball is a fun activity for campers of all ages. Fun hitting and fielding drills help campers learn new skills and polish existing ones. Olympia has its own softball field for play.
  • Tennis Game, Set, Match! Whether playing singles or doubles, campers will receive great tennis instruction for learning new skills and enhancing current ones. Olympia has two regulation-size tennis courts.
  • Track and Field Track and Field is a great activity for staying in shape for school athletics or for general exercise. Campers enjoy the variety of elements in track and field class from the long jump to hurdles to sprints.
  • Volleyball Bump, set, SPIKE! Campers of all ages enjoy playing volleyball on our sand volleyball court and hard court. Campers learn new skills and strategy of the game.
  • Weightlifting Weightlifting is a great way to stay in shape for school athletics and to promote physical health. Campers in Weightlifting class learn the proper techniques for lifting weights in a safe manner.
