MADISON FLOWERS
Madison Flowers, otherwise known as MadFlow around the office, has been with Camp Olympia since 2016. She didn’t find out about Olympia until later in life but once her friends got her here, she was stuck. Madison oversees our Jr. Golf program, nightly programs (yes, the fun dances), specialty weekends, Sunday Vespers, and more! During the school year she spends her time recruiting our O-mazing summer staff, helps run weekends, and plans all the fun for the summer.
Madison graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2016 with a degree in Child and Family Services. She grew up with a passion for sports and the competitive nature and ended up running track at ACU, participated in all intramurals, and was highly involved as an officer in her social club. Camp Olympia has always had a hefty amout of counselors from ACU year after year and Madison ran in the same circles that lots of our Camp O counselors did. From there she heard nothing but great things about Camp and after lots of convincing she finally decided to give it a shot. After graduation, she came straight to Camp for a year-long internship to see if camping was something she could see herself doing, and well, she’s still here and thriving! She worked as an intern, a summer assistant director and then was asked to stay on as a Year-Round Assistant Director.
Madison loves many things about Olympia but one of the main aspects that drew her in and kept her here was the atmosphere created by our staff. It is something different and unique here – getting a front row seat to experience (new and old) counselors forming and growing their relationships throughout the summer, loving on kids, supporting each other, and having the time of their lives all from the time they come into our gates!
When MadFlow isn’t working, you can find her by the lake with her pup, Daisy Mae, hanging out with friends, or watching sports, aka, Texas Tech!
