At Camp Olympia, campers can choose from over 40 different activities. Prior to arrival at camp, campers rank our activities and based on those rankings, we develop each camper’s individualized schedule of ten, 40 minute daily activities. Each activity is taught by counselors with those specific activity skills.

  • Arts & Crafts "Arts and Crafts is where it's at!" This long-time Olympia expression derives from the fun that campers have in Arts & Crafts class. Campers enjoy the air-conditioned Arts & Crafts room as they create a variety of items that they take home at the end of the term.
  • Charm Charm is a fun activity for girls of all ages to learn etiquette and beauty tips. Girls love painting fingernails in Charm class, especially if they can convince a male counselor to be their subject! Also, cooking with our Camp Chef is also a highlight of this class.
  • Dance Learn a new dance routine in our dance class, held in the air-conditioned Top of the O'Dome. Many of our dance classes perform their new dance in our Talent Show the last week of camp.
  • Drama During drama class, campers create and perform their own skits. Campers enjoy dressing up in costumes for their skits! Some of our campers choose to perform their skits in our Talent Show and everyone has the opportunity to get on stage in our campfire skit night.
  • DVD Production One of Olympia's newest and most popular activity is DVD Production. In this class, campers have the opportunity to create their own movie from start to finish. They write, perform, film and edit their short movies! Look out Hollywood!
  • Photo-Journalism In Photo-Journalism, campers get to experience digital photography, journalism, and newsletter editing. Each class will produce its own newsletter available to campers, staff and parents at the end of the term.
